Glen McLeod will be chairing a Legalwise seminar on 29 March 2017, which aims highlight the big changes in environmental and planning legislation and give practical guidance on how recent developments will affect planning approvals and developments and how you should prepare your practice.
Presenters from legal firms and environmental consultancies will discuss various topics, including:
· what the Banksia Woodland Strategy means for planning and approvals in the context of complying with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth);
· recent applications of the precautionary principle in planning decisions relating to dust and other emissions from industrial zones;
· implications of WA bushfire legislation on planning and development, specifically for Australian Standards, the Building Code of Australia, planning and building guidelines.
